If you liked Our Japan, come join us on our China
I just go with a little twinge in my heart an alien registration card ", the key which made us residents in Japan (even with a special queue so convenient arrival at Narita when we returned from the trip). I spent a delightful last day yesterday in Tokyo. Good weather when the rain was announced, and far from the usual sweltering heat of summer in Tokyo. Jingumae ride classic and around Omotesando to show Stephanie, an American friend living in Seoul, the beauties and delights of the district: the restaurant "Kurkku Kitchen", his crisp vegetables and meat grilled to the point; Design Festa and its young designers re-imagining the place to suit their desires, a badge of Pierre Hermé to die (blackcurrant and violet this time of incredible lightness and finesse), the prints of Hokusai and Hiroshige time of the second floor of the Oriental Bazaar.
The streets of the "Kagu" (Kagurazaka district), dotted with traditional shops, lined with potted plants that no one would steal. Bike lanes running down in the quiet morning, or wander through the crowd of the afternoon to its market for small traders.
The inevitable sumo tournament, commented on the radio in English by Thierry Roland et Jean-Michel Larqué local monitoring of the equally inevitable "sumo dinner" at the Kirishima former wrestler with a huge "nabe", a sort of stew special anti-regime. On the same theme, the annual demonstration wrestlers, or better known candidates in the open air to the Yasukuni Shrine, and in a very relaxed atmosphere.
The term acute and inescapable " Kawaiiiii! "
(pronounced ka-little sheep-iiiii)
The "onsen" the most beautiful of Japan, Beppu in Shimoda, Dogo Onsen Sahoro to all different; all alike in their immutable rituals: the energetic shower and soaping above the bath, micro-towel being placed on the head when you slide the body into the burning pool (by not disturbing any more water than is would make a cherry petal there depositor), the calm and serenity through steam.
More in a week. Feel free to leave your good (and bad) memories, your stories and adventures, we will resume with pleasure in the second post.
