Here is a very informative article recently found in Metropolis magazine. I can not fit more lift without thinking!
I summarize for non-English speakers: In Japan, it is important to use instead of the head ("kamiza") or instead of the messenger boy ("shimoza") depending on your rank in the company and the colleagues with whom you are.
In an elevator: the messenger boy next buttons (logic) and head to the opposite corner. The messenger boy to let the leader, to greet and stand beside the door.
In a meeting: the messenger boy at the door, head as far as possible. The chair to the head, canapés for auxiliaries.
