For that we can use small post-it notes supplied in boxes of chewing gum ! Needless to say, despite the dearth of trash cans, sidewalks are impeccable artists in Tokyo. For if the mastiqueur has its sticky to keep his used chewing gum in the pocket, the dog owner has his kit collection, smoking his pocket ashtray and so on.
